Week 17 Predictions

This could be the hardest week to predict all season. Lots of teams give up now and teams with horrible records could finish on a good note with a win. It is a time where teams can clinch wild card spots. The Broncos seem in good shape as Jay Cutler has made Mike Shanahan look smart for starting him over Jake Plummer. The Jets could also clinch with a win over the Raiders. Here are my week 17 picks.

Week 16 Predictions

The wild card seeds for the playoffs really opened up last week as anybody has a chance to get one. The Jaguars held the Titans to under 100 total yards of offense and lost the game. This still keeps teams with 7-7 records alive to get a playoff birth. Another huge game was the Eagles beating the Giants. The Eagles control there own destiny now and could possibly win the division if they beat the Cowboys this week. Here are my week 16 picks.

Game of the Weak: Vikings vs Packers: This could be Brett Favre's last game at home but this time of year neither of these teams have any thing to play for.

Game of the Week: Eagles vs Cowboys: The winner will probably go on and win the NFC east.

Last Week: 9-7
Overall: 133-90

Week 15 Predictions

Last week was the week of record breakers. Devin Hester broke the record for the most return touchdowns in a season with six. Not to be outdone, Ladainian Tomlinson scored his 29th touchdown of the season breaking the record of 28 held by Shaun Alexander. Teams that are fighting for there playoff lives. The Jaguars ran all over the Colts and won 44-17. Jaguars rookie Maurice Jones-Drew is making a case for why he should be in the rookie of the year hunt. Maurice is averaging over six yards a carry and has 12 touchdowns. Here are my week 15 picks.

Game of the Weak: Lions vs Packers: If Matt Millen isn't fired by the end of this year, I have no clue what the Lions are thinking.

Game of the Week: Eagles vs Giants: The last game went down to the wire. Now both teams are fighting for there playoff lives.

Last Week:8-8
Overall:124-83

49ers 17 Seahawks 24

Week 14 Fantasy Report

This year has been very deep for points in fantasy football. Derek Anderson who nobody even heard of about a week ago threw two touchdowns and 80 rushing yards in a Browns win. LaDanian Tomlinson is on pace to shatter the single season touchdown record. LT already has 26 with three games to go. Here are my week 14 fantasy studs.

QB: Vince Young vs Texans: Vince is coming back to play in his hometown and he has a chip on his shoulder to prove that he was deserving of the first overall pick.
RB: Frank Gore vs Packers: Frank has had a great year so far. Against a bad Packers defense, that trend should continue.
WR: Roy Williams vs Vikings: Roy has been the only consistent player on the Lions this year. The Vikings pass defense has been bad all year. You do the math.
TE: Kellen Winslow vs Steelers: The Steelers defense is really banged up and Winslow is having a great year.
K: Rob Bironas vs Texans: Rob has been hot lately and the Titans should give him tons of opportunities on Sunday
DST:Bengals vs Raiders: The Bengals have played good defense the past few weeks. A horrible Raiders defense should help that streak continue.

Week 14 Predictions

Last week lots of games came down to the very end and were decided by field goals. The Seahawks beat the Broncos in Denver on a Josh Brown field goal with five seconds left. Rob Bironas helped the Titans beat the Colts with a 60 yard field goal with one second left. Another thought is that Vince Young is quietly making himself a candidate for rookie of the year. Vince has led the Titans to comeback wins the last two weeks. He is also doing better at throwing the ball then lots of scouts said. Here are my week 14 picks.

Game of the Weak: Browns vs Steelers: This should be a very low scoring game with lots of turnovers.

Game of the Week: Broncos vs Chargers: LT should have a big game but Shawne Merriman could be the difference for the Chargers.

Last Week: 10-6

Overall: 116-75

Browns 13 Steelers 14

Week 13 Fantasy Report

Last week was great for all fantasy owners considering everybody was scoring points. Tony Romo was worth over 40 in most leagues and Matt Leinart had a great day throwing for more than 400 yards. Not to be outdone, it was another great day from LT who got three touchdowns including one passing. Here are my fantasy studs.

QB:Steve McNair vs Bengals: The Ravens offense has improved and the Bengals are 32nd against the pass.
RB: Larry Johnson vs Browns: The Browns are awful against the run and LJ leads the league in yards and he has scored over 15 touchdowns also.
WR: Andre Johnson vs Raiders: If David Carr can get time to throw the ball Andre would be leading the league in yards and receptions.
TE: Ben Watson vs Lions: Ben has scored a touchdown against every NFC North team this season. This trend should continue.
K: Jeff Wilkins vs Cardinals: This game should be a shootout and Jeff should see tons of oppurtunities.
DST: Chargers vs Bills: Shawne Merriman is back and the Chargers have looked solid even without him playing.

Week 13 Predictions

This week there for the first time this year a team could already clinch a playoff birth. If the Baltimore Ravens defeat the Cincinnati Bengals, the Ravens would then be playing for homefield advantage. The Bears are in excellent shape as well if they beat the Vikings which would make it almost a sure thing that the Bears win the division. Here are my week 13 picks.

Game of the Weak: Texans vs Raiders : Like there was a choice

Game of the Week: Ravens vs Bengals: Divisional rivalry with great offense and excellent defense.

Last Week: 12-4
Overall:106-70
Ravens 24 Bengals 21

Week 12 Fantasy Report

This is a big week for all fantasy football players. You have to turn in your final lineup on Thursday for the first time this year which some owners might not be able to do. But with lots of bad matchups it could be a good week. Here are my fantasy studs.

QB: Tony Romo vs Bucs- Tony has played solid since startins but the Bucs defense is bad this year.
RB: Frank Gore vs Rams: Frank has played great this season and the Rams awful run defense shouldn't stop it.
WR: Chad Johnson vs Browns: Ocho Cinco is back after two huge games. Now he plays the Browns.
TE: Antonio Gates vs Raiders: The Chargers are showing a great passing attack and Gates is the main atraction.
K:Josh Brown vs Packers:This should be a high scoring affair with lots of oppurtunities for Josh.
DST: Chargers vs Raiders: Enough said

Week 12 Predictions

Last Week there were lots of season ending injuries for star players. Donavan McNabb tore his ACL and is being replaced by Jeff Garcia. If the Jaguars were banged up on defense before Donovin Darius is now out for the season with a broken leg and is going to be replaced by Gerald Sensabaugh. Here are my week 12 predictions

Game of the Weak: Dolphins vs Lions: Let the "Fire Millen" chants start now.

Game of the Week: Bears vs Patriots: Two of the best teams in the league going at it? Nothing better

Last Week: 10-6
Overall: 94-66

Fantasy Football Report week 11

The whole fantasy football season so far has played out based on how well you draft your team.

If you were one of the people who drafted LaDanian Tomlinson in the first round you are probably winning your league. Early in the season lots of Quarterbacks stepped up and people would have thought you were a genius for picking Rex Grossman in the 10th round. Here are my fantasy studs of the week.

QB: Seneca Wallace vs 49ers: Seneca has been playing well and the 49ers defense shouldn't stop that trend.
RB:Willie Parker vs Browns: Willie had a monster game getting over 200 yards last week and the Browns are lot worse then the Saints
WR: Marques Colston vs Bengals: In a shootout like this everyone especially someone like Colston should get at least one touchdown.
TE:Ben Watson vs Packers: Ben is due for a big game and this should be a shootout.
K:David Akers vs Titans: The Eagles should score a ton of points which should give David lots of chances.
DST:Bears vs Jets: Great defense vs young offensive line= loads of points.

Week 11 Predictions

This year there have been many quarterback controversies brewing around the league. With Trent Green coming back from injury many people are wondering if the Chiefs should replace Damon Huard who has done great with a rating of over 100. All the Redskin fans calling for Jason Campbell get there wish this week as he gets his 1st career NFL start. Another big story is the impact of rookie corner back Devin Hester. He hasn't gotten to play corner back but he is showing that he is definitely a pro bowl return man. Here are my week 11 picks.

Game of the Weak: Lions vs Cardinals: 3 combined wins. Need I say more?

Game of the Week: Chargers vs Broncos: It's a tight division race in the AFC west and the winner has a one game lead.

Last Week: 8-8

Week 10 Predictions

Every team has no played eight games which means that the season is halfway over. After the Bears shockingly lost to the Dolphins at home, the Colts are the only undefeated team left. Here are my mid season top five and award winners.

Top Five:
1.Colts: They will always show up on offense but Bob Sanders returning helps out a lot.
2. Chargers: Merriman may be out another three weeks but as long as LT is there they should be pretty good.
3. Bears: The Dolphins game wasn't pretty but they have still looked pretty good this season.
4. Patriots: They lost to the Colts at home but after losing a lot of key players Tom Brady can make anybody a star.
5. Giants: The Giants are battling some defensive injuries but there offense should keep them in lots of games.

Bottom five:
28. Lions: Roy Williams is right they are the best 2-6 team in football.
29.Dolphins: Beating the Bears was what people expected from there trend super bowl pick.
30.Titans: The Titans are playing for the future so watch for LenDale White to be the starting running back by the end of the year.
31. Raiders: The defense isn't bad but the offense is a whole other story.
32. Cardinals: Larry Fitzgerald will give them one of there much needed weapons back.

MVP: LaDanian Tomlinson RB Chargers: LT is having a great season for the impressive Chargers.
Rookie of the year: Marques Colston WR Saints: I don't think this is what the Saints expected out of a seventh round pick from Hofstra.
Defensive Player of the year: Ray Lewis LB Ravens: Ray is one of the best leaders in the league and he is doing it for the best defense in the league.

Game of the Weak: Ravens vs Titans: If you like offense this isn't the game for you.

Game of the Week: Bears vs Giants: The best teams in the NFC are battling for homefield in the playoffs. Can it get any better?

Fantasy Football week 9 report

Most of the games last week were very difficult matchups this one is the exact opposite. If LaDainian Tomlinson needed to play better he is going against the Browns this week. LT should put up around two TD's and 150 plus total yards. Peyton Manning was also going against a supposable very stingy Broncos secondary but he torched them last week. He is now going against the Patriots and what should be an easier matchup. Here are my week 9 fantasy studs.

QB: Michael Vick vs Lions- Vick has played great lately and a banged up Lions defense should make him look even better.
RB: LaDainian Tomlinson vs Browns- If you were one of the people that had two people pass over this guy in your draft, you should be thanking them for matchups like this.
WR: Terrell Owens vs Redskins- The Redskins secondary is banged up and T.O. thinks that he and Tony Romo are really going to work.
TE: Alge Crumpler vs Lions- See Michael Vick
K: Adam Vinateri vs Patriots- This should be a shootout and Adam always is money when the game is on the line.
DST: Chargers vs Browns- Even without Merriman this defense is still really good.

Week 9 Predictions

Last week lots of games were decided by big performances by lots of key players. Larry Johnson finally had a game that everybody thought he would have getting four touchdowns in a key win over the Seahawks. LaDanian Tomlinson also scored four touchdowns but also had over 200 total yards in a win against the Rams. The best performance might have been by Reggie Wayne who had 10 catches for 138 yards and three touchdowns against the Broncos. Here are my week 9 picks.

Game of the Weak: Packers vs Bills- This one could be a shootout but it won’t be pretty.

Game of the Week: Colts vs Patriots- Two top five teams in the league are playing. Did I mention that the quarterbacks aren’t that bad?

Last Week: 6-8
Overall- 69-45

Fantasy Football week 8 report

There are a lot of very difficult matchups this week with teams with lots of fantasy starters playing tough defenses. Peyton Manning has done great all year but he is now playing against the Broncos who only allow seven points per game. Steven Jackson has been one of the best running backs this season and is in the top 10 in the league in yards. He is now playing the best the best run defense in the league in the Chargers. Here are my week 8 fantasy studs.

Fantasy Studs

QB: Brett Favre vs Cardinals- The Cardinals have been solid on defense but Brett is due for a good game.
RB: Brian Westbrook vs Jaguars- Brian has done great all year and the Jags have a lot of holes on defense.
WR: Andre Johnson vs Titans- Andre has had a great year so far and playing against the Titans shouldn't hurt.
TE: Heath Miller vs Raiders- With Big Ben getting back Heath will definitely benifit from his presence.
K: Neil Rackers vs Packers- He hasn't done as good as last year but Neil should get back on track this game.
DST: Steelers vs Raiders- The Raiders could but up some points but this isn't the Cardinals.

Week 8 Predictions

Last week almost half of the games came down to last minute field goals. Just ask the Philadelphia Eagles. The last two weeks the Eagles lost by field goals on the very last play. Matt Bryant drilled a 62 yard field goal against the Eagles last week but hadn't made one over 30 all year. There are still two unbeaten teams in the Bears and the Colts but with the Raiders winning last week, there isn't a winless team remaining. Here are my week 8 picks.

Game of the Weak: Cardinals vs Packers- Both of these teams look alright on paper but on the field is another story.

Game of the Week: Falcons vs Bengals- Both of these teams came of dramatic home victories and the Deangelo Hall Chad Johnson matchup makes it even better.

Last Week: 5-8
Overall: 63-37

Fantasy Football week 7 report

So far this season has all about the matchups. Lots of people thought Rex Grossman against the Cardinals was a great matchup but it turned out to be an awful one. Rex threw four interceptions and fumbled twice. But against a tough Chargers defense Alex Smith threw for 180 yards and two touchdowns. Here are my week 7 fantasy studs.

QB:Peyton Manning vs Redskins: The Redskins are banged up on defense and Peyton will pick them apart.
RB: Edgerrin James vs Raiders: Edge had an awful game last week but that should change against the worst run defense in the league.
WR: Steve Smith vs Bengals: Steve has played great all season but an older Bengals secondary won't be able to stop him.
TE:Antonio Gates vs Chiefs: The emergence of Phillip Rivers has returned Gates to becoming a reliable threat.
K:Jason Elam vs Browns: The Broncos haven't put up a ton of points but he should get oppurtunities.
DST:Cardinals vs Raiders: There playing the Raiders what do you expect?

Week 7 Predictions

So far this season lots of teams have had their highs and lows a perfect example is the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have played great up until the last couple minutes of the game. Last Monday night was a great example. With a 23-3 lead the Cardinals ended up losing to the Bears 24-23. Here are my week 7 power rankings and picks.

Top five:
1.Bears
2.Chargers
3.Colts
4.Broncos
5.Panthers

Bottom five:
28.Browns
29.Titans
30.Dolphins
31.Packers
32.Raiders

Game of the Weak: Packers vs Dolphins: These teams combined only have two wins but neither has an offense.

Game of the Week: Panthers vs Bengals: It's the reunion of Chad Johnson and Steve Smith but it is also two trendy super bowl picks matching up against one another.

Last Week: 7-6
Overall: 58-29

Panthers 28 Bengals 20

Fantasy Football week 6 report

This is a hard week for fantasy football owners. A NFL record six teams have a bye week in week six. The Colts are one of those teams and if you own one of there big players like Peyton Manning,Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison these are some players you can pick up for the week to replace them.

QB: Phillip Rivers vs 49ers- Phillip started to get the passing game going against the Steelers now he is playing the 49ers that means lots of fantasy points.
RB: Leon Washington vs Dolphins- Leon may not have the best matchup but he is probably the only player that's going to get 20 carries on the waiver wire.
WR: Lee Evans vs Lions- Lee and J.P. Losman are starting to click, that's not good for the Lions.
TE:Desmond Clark vs Cardinals- When the Bears passing game is clicking Clark is almost always involved.
K: Ryan Lindell vs Lions- With lots of scoring possible Lindell could get a lot of attempts.
DST: Jets vs Dolphins-The Dolphins look horrible on offense and Justin Miller is always a threat to take a kickoff the distance.

Here are my fantasy studs of the week:

QB: Marc Bulger vs Seahawks- In his last 5 games against Seattle Marc has thrown for at least 250 yards and two touchdowns. You can't turn down that production.
RB: Ladanian Tomlinson vs 49ers- LT could get at least 150 total yards and a touchdown in this one.
WR:Santana Moss vs Titans- The Titans have had a hard time stopping the passing game all season. The Redskins like to throw a lot. You do the math.
TE: Chris Cooley vs Titans- See Santana Moss
K: Jeff Wilkins vs Seahawks- High Scoring team + shootout= lots of oppurtunities
DST: Broncos vs Raiders- The Broncos have played great defense all year. The Raiders have played horrible offense all year. This should be a good start.

Week 6 Predictions

Only two undefeated teams remain heading into week 6 of the NFL season. The Bears have shown a very explosive offensive attack led by Rex Grossman and Bernard Berrian, while the Colts don't seem to be playing there best football yet as they have won nailbiters the last few weeks. This week the Colts are one of the record six teams on bye this week so we will have a guaranteed undefeated team heading into week 7. So far a couple of players have stuck out for awards this season, here are my winners of the awards if the season ended today along with my week 6 picks.

MVP: Donavan McNabb QB Eagles
Runner up: Rex Grossman QB Bears

Rookie of the year: Laurence Maroney RB: Patriots
Runner up: Maurice Jones-Drew RB Jaguars

Defensive player of the year: Bart Scott LB Ravens
Runner up: Brian Urlacher LB Bears

Game of the Weak: Bills vs Lions- I think Detroiters should stick with the Tigers right about now.

Game of the Week: Seahawks vs Rams- Nothing beats a shootout between two teams who are fighting for first place in the division.

Last Week: 12-2
Overall:51-23

Bills 24 Lions 17
Panthers 17 Ravens 13
Bengals 35 Bucs 24
Texans 24 Cowboys 35

Bears 35 Cardinals 13

Fantasy Football week 5 report

So far this season of fantasy football has been all about the quarterbacks instead of the running backs. David Carr has been worth over 70 points in most leagues and has been playing great for anybody that has him. Other quarterbacks like Charlie Frye and Jon Kitna have also been having fine seasons as well. Here are some of my week 5 fantasy football picks.

Fantasy Studs:
QB: Marc Bulger vs Green Bay: The Rams have a great receiving core and the Packers don't have any defensive backs.
RB: Steven Jackson vs Green Bay: Did I mention the Packers are pretty weak at linebacker too?
WR: Reggie Wayne vs Tennessee: Reggie has come up huge his last couple games against the Titans this one shouldn't be any different.
TE: Ben Watson vs Miami: The Dolphins have allowed big games to tight ends and Watson is one of the best in the league.
K: Ryan Longwell vs Detroit: The Vikings don't score that much but he should get lots of oppurtunities.
DST: Panthers vs Cleveland: The Panthers should get lots of pressure on the young Browns offensive line.

Week 5 Predictions

So far the NFL season has gotten of to a really weird start. Players have come up and played really big so far this season. Who would have thought Rex Grossman would be and MVP candidate in week 5. Cadillac Williams who was said to have gotten a lot better during the offseason hasn't made much of an impact so far this season, which has gotten a lot of fantasy football players angry here are my week 5 picks.

Game of the Weak: Raiders vs 49ers- There is no doubt this is your winner.

Game of the Week: Cowboys vs Eagles- Everyone is hyping this as McNabb vs T.O. but it is also a matchup of two teams tied for the division lead.

Last Week: 9-5
Overall: 39-21

Lions 23 Vikings 17
Dolphins 13 Patriots 28
Bucs 14 Saints 28
Redskins 35 Giants 21

Fantasy Football week 4 report

This week lots of people will be missing lots of key factors to there fantasy football team because many teams with lots of marquee players will be on bye this week. The Giants,Broncos,Bucs and Steelers are on a bye week and lots of people will be looking all over the waiver wire. Here are some people to pick up for each position and my stud for each position this week.

QB: Charlie Frye vs Raiders- Frye has made a great tandem with Braylon Edwards so far this season and could have a great day against a poor Raiders secondary.
RB:Maurice Drew vs Redskins- The Redskins have never had to play against a running back like Maurice and could have a hard time catching him in the open field.
WR: Braylon Edwards vs Raiders- See Charlie Frye
TE: Owen Daniels vs Dolphins- The Dolphins have allowed big games to tight ends so far this season. He is also turning into a great saftey valve for David Carr.
K: John Carney vs Panthers- The Panthers have been allowing a lot of touchdowns this season. Carney should get some attempts this game.
DST: Vikings vs Bills- The Vikings have been playing great defense so far this season and except for Willis McGahee, the Bills offense looks really bad.

Week 4 fantasy studs:
QB: Peyton Manning vs Jets- Peyton should find lots of soft spots in coverage considering Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne are getting covered by young cornerbacks.
RB: Warrick Dunn vs Cardinals- Warrick has had a great year so far and a subpar Cardinals run defense shouldn't stop that.
WR: Reggie Wayne vs Jets- Coming of the death of his brother, Wayne should come out motivated and ready to play.
TE: Alge Crumpler vs Cardinals- The Cardinals have had a hard time stopping the passing game this season. Alge should be able to put up at least a touchdown.
K: Shayne Graham vs Patriots- The Bengals should score a ton of touchdowns and Graham will get tons of oppurtunites.
DST: Eagles vs Packers- Rookie Lineman + Lots of blitzing = sacks

Week 4 Predictions

So far this NFL season is of to a great start with lots of teams that are living up to the hype and some that haven't lived up to the billing at all. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were predicted to make the playoffs by many analyists this season. The Bucs are now 0-3 and their quarterback Chris Simms is out indefinitely after he needed his spleen removed. The San Diego Chargers were also predicted to go very far into the playoffs this year by many analyists. The Chargers though are 2-0 and have played great defense and have had solid play from quarterback Phillip Rivers. Here are my week 4 picks.

Game of the Weak: Dolphins vs Texans- The Texans are looking a little better but the Dolphins just look awful.

Game of the Week: Seahawks vs Bears- The two best teams in the NFC, one has a great offense the other a great defense. Need I say more?

Week 3 Predictions

There are lots of teams that now have proven what they are capable of doing this season.

The Jaguars were a 12-4 team last season but people still didn't give them credit. The Jags have now beaten the Steelers and the Cowboys.

The Vikings were predicted by many to finish 3rd in the division. They have already beaten the Redskins on the road and the Panthers at home. Both were predicted to be NFC powers.

After a strong week 2, here are my week 3 predictions. If the picture is a sign of things, I think Chad likes my pick of his game against the Steelers.

Game of the Weak: Packers vs Lions- Neither of these teams has a win; or an offense.

Game of the Week: Bengals vs Steelers- A perfect AFC grudge match this one should be a fight to the end.

Last Week: 14-2
Overall: 21-11

Panthers 21 Bucs 10
Bears 17 Vikings 13
Bengals 24 Steelers 14
Packers 10 Lions 24
Jaguars 17 Colts 28
Jets 13 Bills 16
Titans 10 Dolphins 21
Redskins 28 Texans 14
Ravens 21 Browns 6
Giants 21 Seahawks 24
Eagles 28 49ers 24
Rams 17 Cardinals 35
Broncos 10 Patriots 14
Falcons 21 Saints 10

Fantasy Football week 3 report

There were many unpicked players that had huge games last week. Lots of players people thought were a fluke did great. For example, Chad Pennington almost crawled out of my dog house. Chad ended up throwing for 300 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Patriots. Here are some players to get, and some to avoid on the waiver wire for week 3.

For Real:
Antonio Bryant WR 49ers: After 2 games of over 75 yards and a TD, Bryant proved he and Alex Smith can get it done.
Jerious Norwood RB Falcons: He may not be the starter but he is putting up a solid 60 yards a game.
Reggie Williams WR Jaguars: Many Jaguars fans didn't have faith in Reggie but I have liked him his whole career. He has put up good numbers so far and will help a lot if you get points for end zone dances.

One Game Wonder:
Rex Grossman QB Bears: unfortunately, the Bears can't play the Lions every week.
Bernard Berrian WR Bears: See Rex Grossman
Brett Favre QB Packers: He may have a few good weeks but he throws way too many interceptions.

Week 2 predictions

The first week of the NFL season is in the books and 16 teams are undefeated. Lots of teams that nobody expected to win won last week like the Vikings and Rams. Many teams that were supposted to be good did awful like the Buccaneers and the Panthers. Here are my week 2 predictions

Game of the weak- Saints vs Packers- If you want to see Reggie Bush's first touchdown, go to the nearest sports bar as soon as the game starts.

Game of the week- Steelers vs Jaguars- This may not be the highest scoring game but this game should be pretty fun to watch.

Fantasy stud for each postition
QB: Peyton Manning vs Houston- All he does is put up numbers and this is a pretty bad defense you do the math.
RB: Ladanian Tomlinson vs Tennesee- This defense isn't all that much better then Oakland's so this could be a 3 touchdown game.
WR: Reggie Wayne vs Houston- See Peyton Manning
TE: Todd Heap vs Oakland- Now with a quarterback who can get him the ball, he should have a big game.
K: Josh Brown vs Arizona- This game has shootout written all over it.
DST: Ravens vs Oakland- Oakland just looked plain awful and the Ravens defense looks back to old form.

Week 2 predictions: Season overall: 7-9

Bills 13 Dolphins 24
Panthers 14 Vikings 21
Browns 10 Bengals 28
Lions 13 Bears 14
Texans 14 Colts 35
Saints 21 Packers 14
Giants 21 Eagles 17
Raiders 3 Ravens 24
Bucs 10 Falcons 17
Cardinals 21 Seahawks 35
Rams 21 49ers 17

Fantasy Football week 2 report

After watching games this week I noticed that every year some players have a breakout game in week one but do nothing for the rest of the year. Remember Frisman Jackson of the Cleveland Browns? I didn't think so. His first game of the season he had 12 catches for 147 yards and a touchdown. The rest of the year he caught 4 passes. Here are some players to get and avoid on the waiver wire.

The Real Deal:
Chargers DST
They don't have to play the Raiders for Shawne Merriman to light teams up
Laurence Maroney RB Patriots The Patriots are always good at drafting and this rookie is no exception
Steve McNair QB Ravens With old teamate Derrick Mason it could be a fun year in Baltimore
Troy Williamson WR Vikings With no true number 1 receiver Williamson a former 1st round pick could come into his own this season

One Game Wonder:
Chad Pennington QB Jets Titans are one of the worst pass defense teams in the league and there is always question about the shoulder.
Laveranues Coles WR Jets (See Chad Pennington)
Bills DST The Bills have defensive talent, but they don't have enough offense to keep them rested.
Vikings DST The Vikings have great corners but the linebacker position is questionable with 1st round pick Chad Greenway out for the year.

Week 1 Predictions

Game of the Weak
Jets vs Titans- Like I really had a choice

Game of the Week
Bengals vs Chiefs- If you like scoring, this is the game for you

Fantasy stud for each position
QB: Kurt Warner vs San Francisco- The 49ers didn't get much better this offseason but Warner has great targets to throw to in Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald.
RB: Ladainian Tomlinson vs Oakland- LT is a great back every week but Oakland's defense isn't that good.
WR: Larry Fitzgerald vs San Francisco- Fitz is a great red zone receiver and the Cardinals will be in the redzone a lot considering the 49ers defense.
TE: Ben Watson vs Buffalo- Watson is a monster who will have lots of looks with the absence of Deion Branch and Buffalo's short handed defense.
K: Josh Brown vs Detroit- Seahawks offense + Lions Defense= lots of extra point oppurtunities
DST: Bears vs Green Bay- Brett Favre didn't get any younger and the running back situation is not settled.

Week 1 predictions

Falcons 13 Panthers 24
Ravens 10 Bucs 14
Bills 13 Patriots 28
Bengals 35 Chiefs 31
Broncos 21 Rams 17
Saints 14 Browns 20
Jets 10 Titans 17
Eagles 21 Texans 24
Seahawks 35 Lions 21
Bears 20 Packers 10
Cowboys 17 Jaguars 13
49ers 14 Cardinals 42
Colts 35 Giants 21
Vikings 13 Redskins 21

Dolphins vs Steelers predictions

The NFL season is finally upon us as the 2006 season starts off with the Steelers hosting the Dolphins. The Steelers are playing without quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and could potentially not have Hines Ward to catch passes from Charlie Batch.

The Dolphins have been a trendy pick to win the Super Bowl after adding all pro quarterback Daunte Culpepper. When having time to throw Daunte could hurt a defense with his excellent vision of the field. The problem is Troy Polamalu and the Steelers will blitz all game long.
If Ronnie Brown and Chris Chambers live up to the preseason billing, this could be a dangerous team on offense. They also have all pro's Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas on defense.

If you play fantasy football I have my fantasy stud of the game to watch. This game it is the Dolphins tight end Randy McMichael. With the Linebackers blitzing, he could become a safety valve for Culpepper.

To me with a backup quarterback in for Pittsburgh, the Dolphins are just too strong and that is why my prediction for the game is Dolphins: 24 Steelers:17
