Fbkid's Week 2 Fantasy Studs

Last week was a very tough week to predict for fantasy owners as many players made bigger impacts then projected. Who would have thought that Willie Parker would score more touchdowns in week one then he did all of last year? Or that Eddie Royal would be leading the league in receiving yards after week one. Here are some players that I think will have a very big impact in your league this week.

Quarterback : Aaron Rodgers vs Lions: Rodgers faired very well in his first NFL start against a very tough Vikings defense. Now he plays the Lions who allowed 156 yards passing on only 13 attempts last week against a rookie quarterback in Matt Ryan. Look for Rodgers to put up some big numbers this week. Expect around 200 passing yards and 3 touchdowns.

Running back: Chris Johnson vs Bengals: Johnson had an excellent NFL debut against a solid Jaguars defense and now he goes against one of the worst in the Bengals. With Kerry Collins starting for the injured Vince Young, look for Johnson to have a bigger impact on the passing game as well. Expect around 150 total yards and a touchdown.

Wide receiver: Calvin Johnson vs Packers: Johnson was one of the Lions lone bright spots against the Falcons and should continue to shine this week. Plus if the Lions defense plays anything like they did last week, Johnson will have lots of garbage time to pad his stats. Johnson will also be going up against Al Harris and we all know how he faired in the playoffs against big receivers. Expect around 120 yards and a touchdown.

Tight end: Jeremy Shockey vs Redskins: With Marques Colston hurt, Shockey will be the number one target for Drew Brees the next few weeks. Look for Shockey to put up some big numbers in a high scoring Saints passing attack. Expect around 80 yards and a touchdown.

Kicker: Neil Rackers vs Dolphins: It may not look that good on paper, but this could end up being one of the best games of the day and Rackers should have his share in deciding the outcome. Expect around 3 extra points and 2 field goals.

Defense: Giants vs Rams: The Giants defense didn't put up a huge statline against the Redskins last week, but that shouldn't stop them against the Rams. The Rams have lots of problems up front and Justin Tuck should get at least 2 sacks. Expect around 2 interceptions, 5 sacks and a fumble recovery.

Reminder: With the postponement of the Ravens Texans game due to Hurricane Ike, you need to remove all players from both teams as it is considered their bye week.
